The elements of the torque converter operate in modes that cause the inevitable thermal expansion of the body and internal parts. To ensure the correct functioning of the unit over the entire operating temperature range without loss of efficiency, an axial clearance is incorporated into its design, which must be maintained within a certain range.

The TZ 03.800 stand is used to control the axial clearance and allows it to be determined with an accuracy of 0.01 mm for torque converters of various designs.
