The rigid structure of the automated machine, the use of high-precision mechanisms and parts in it, ensures that the torque converter will be restored with maximum precision. The device is controlled using a touch panel with a detailed menu in different languages. Taking into account the peculiarities of welding two halves of the torque converter with one torch, a special algorithm for preliminary point fixing of parts is programmatically embedded in the device, which prevents one-sided misalignment arising from the stresses of the welded joint. The automatic machine also allows you to replace the hub of the pump wheel cover of the gas turbine engine.
Equipment automation: The unit has a mechanized welding torch feed, which is controlled by a joystick and has two torch manipulation speeds. The reduced speed allows fine adjustment of the position of the burner relative to the body of the cut gas turbine engine. Additionally, the automatic approach function is equipped with a memory of the last position of the torch during welding, which allows increasing the welding productivity of a batch of transformers of the same type.
