Tool for ZF 9HP48 (948TE) torque converters repair

Design features of the lock-up unit of the ZF 9HP48 automatic transmission torque converter that create difficulties when replacing the clutch on the plate:

The piston cannot be removed without disconnecting the riveted joint from the torque converter body.
Access to the back of the rivet securing the piston to the leaf spring is blocked by the TC body.
Pop rivets cannot be used due to insufficient clearance above the piston for the rivet head.
